Super postponal tax cases hearing until April 7

Islamabad:

A Constitutional Bank of five members of the Supreme Court postponed on Friday the hearing of the intra-Court appeals against the imposition of super taxes until after EID.

During the hearing, Makhdoom Ali Khan, the lawyer of several companies, argued that this was not a tax but a rate, adding that the imposition of taxes to social welfare was a provincial issue.

At the beginning of the audience, Makhdoom Ali Khan expressed condolences for the death of former Law Minister Khalid Anwar. Later, the case hearing was postponed until April 7.
