Google’s plans to completely withdraw their Google Assistant software are officially after the announcement of last week that its AI-AI Google Gemini will replace the Google assistant on the smart phones of Android at the end of 2025. This news is not a great shock for us, since Google is eliminating some of its Google Assistant 2024, however, however, we learn that it is not only the best Android phones that have received the treatment of Gememini.
In addition to smartphones, the Google smart home attendees that includes the best smart speakers and the best smart screens are also going through some changes, which implies that they will also receive a Gemini face washing. Since Gemini began to overheat the Google assistant on smart screens and speakers at the end of last year, we could only guess that it would be a matter of time before this evolved to a complete acquisition of Gemini, and now it is seen in the light of Google’s recent decision to disable certain characteristics of Google Assistant of its intelligent house devices.

Google Photos capabilities
You can no longer use voice commands to ask the Google assistant to be the favorite or share their photos, or ask specific questions about when and where they were taken. That said, you can still share them through the Google Photos application and use your smart screen to see where they were taken.
Smart screen environmental screen settings
To enable the photo frame or the configuration of the environmental screen on its Smart Google screen, you must consult the Smart Display application to change them manually, since the Google wizard will no longer admit the voice command.
Live translations
Since Google Assistant introduced its function of useful interpreter in 2019, users have been able to translate live conversations from one language to another. This is no longer the case after Google’s decision to eliminate it from the assistant functions, however, it is still possible to translate unique words or phrases.
Birthday reminders with routines
Routines is the Google version of a personal task assistant who can automate tasks and actions through voice commands, such as turning off the lights, playing music or sending important birthday notifications on your calendar. Google has now disabled the latter, but you can still use the voice control of the assistant to establish reminders on the next birthdays.
Family bell ads
Google’s Family Bell function was useful for the whole family, which allowed it to program reminders or ads so that everyone in their home is aware of family events.
As part of Google’s Transition to integrating gemini with smart home devices, you can no longer use assistant to create or read your prior prior to the previously scheduled announcements. This was one of the favorites among Google Smart Home users, now the routines are their alternative.
Daily updates
This is a basic, but quite useful function that Google has just finished. As Alexa can configure to provide daily updates, the assistant will no longer admit voice requests such as ‘Send the weather every day’. Instead, you will have to program updates manually when you create a personalized routine.
Google assistant in car accessories
Google has disabled the ability to use the assistant in car accessories that admit the Bluetooth connection or have an Aux plug.
