Coas asks for a stronger governance, unified security against terrorism

The head of the Army personnel (COA), General Syed also Munir, stressed that Pakistan needs to strengthen his governance and solidify as a “hard state”, pointing out the dangers of continuing in a “soft state” approach that sacrifices precious lives. He questioned how long the gaps of governance would be filled with the blood of the armed forces of Pakistan and their martyrs.

In his speech to the Parliamentary National Security Committee on Tuesday, General Munir emphasized that the country’s security must always have priority over any political agenda, movement or personality, said Express News.

He stressed that national stability can only be achieved when all the elements of national power work together in harmony, highlighting that this was not only a struggle for the present but for the survival of future generations.

In addition, General Munir asked religious scholars to expose the distorted interpretations of Islam that extremists are propagated by extremists, urging them to clarify the true teachings of Islam and counteract the harmful ideologies propagated by groups such as Khawarij.

Speaking of national security, Coa reiterated that Pakistan’s security is essential. “If this country exists, it is for us,” he said, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing national security over political or personal interests.

General Munir requested a unified position, urging all interested parties to adopt a single narrative in the interest of Pakistan’s defense, leaving aside their individual or political profits.

He also sent a strong message to those who believe they can weaken Pakistan supporting terrorists, stating: “Today, they will understand that we will not only defeat them but also to all their facilitators.”

The Army Chief reassured La NaciĆ³n the unwavering army resolution, expressing his confidence that, with confidence in Allah, Pakistan will finally have success in ensuring his future.
