- Apple’s last announcement presents Pedro Pascal and is directed by Spike Jonze
- It has Pascal dancing through frozen landscapes and vibrant streets
- The purpose is to promote Apple Airpods 4 with active noise cancellation
If you have ever wanted to see Pedro Pascal dancing in a red and yellow dream country, well, today is your lucky day. This is because Apple has just launched a new announcement with the actor and directed by Spike Jonze, and the objective is to promote the company AirPods 4 with an active noise cancellation.
The place begins with Pascal leaving coffee after his heart is apparently broken. While walking on a Nevada street, he puts his airpods and begins to listen to El Conticinio for the Spanish musician guitarricadelafuente. While lighting the active noise cancellation mode, its environment changes to an icy landscape full of dancers who move in time to music.
Then he has returned to reality when a passer -by asks for instructions, so Pascal activates the mode of transparency of the airpods so that he can listen to the person while still listening to his music.
Then spy a happier version of himself on the other side of the street. This incarnation of Pedro Pascal again enables the cancellation of active noise in his airpods and suddenly is in a bright red and yellow world. As perfect by Sam I and Tropkillaz they begin to play, happily dance the Florida streets, apparently restored to happiness.
In the end, he returns to the real world and sees his saddest being. The two exchange comforting looks from each other before the original Pascal moves down the street.

The purpose of the announcement is to highlight the Cancellation Function of Airpods 4 of Apple. This can eliminate background noise, which allows you to concentrate on whatever you are listening. These also have a transparency mode that allows you to listen to some external sounds so that you can carry out a conversation and be more aware of their environment.
Airpods 4 with active noise cancellation also comes with an adaptive audio function that can automatically change between active noise cancellation and transparency mode without having to do anything. However, it does not seem to be in use in the commercial, since Pascal approaches the audio mode manually in its airpods throughout the short film.
The announcement can be familiar for the fans of the original iPod of Apple commercials, who presented silhouette figures dancing while listening to music on the device.
Nor is it the first time that Jonze directed an Apple announcement: in 2018, he worked with the company in a short film titled Welcomo Home that was made to promote the Homepod.
