Punjab Prime Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has revealed ambitious plans to improve government schools in the province with smart classrooms and digital laboratories, marking a step to integrate modern technology into traditional education.

Speaking on digital learning day, Prime Minister Maryam emphasized that in today’s world, technological advancement and education go hand in hand.

“Development is now linked to technology, and Punjab youth must be equipped with the skills required to meet the demands of the modern world,” he said.

The prime minister highlighted government efforts to create opportunities for students to align with the demands of the international market, specifically through the introduction of advanced training programs.

As part of these efforts, Punjab is providing students with access to IT courses of international standards, including artificial intelligence (AI), software development and independent work.

Maryam said these initiatives will allow young people to obtain certification in IT courses that meet the needs of the global labor market.

In addition, CM announced the creation of the first “city of Nawaz Sharif It of Pakistan in Lahore.

The city will have avant -garde facilities, with the completion of the twin towers that are expected at the end of this year.

The city of IT will also house a Center for Call for Plug-And-Play, which offers educational opportunities and employment in the IT sector.

In particular, IT universities have expressed interest in establishing campus in the city of IT, further strengthening the digital education infrastructure of the region.

Maryam Nawaz stressed that digitalization efforts would empower young people, offering them autonomy, growth and success in the global economy. This initiative aims to transform punjab into an innovation and economic development center promoted by IT.
