Buckingham Palace shares a new update on King Charles A Pope’s visit

Buckingham Palace has shared an important update on the planned state visit of King Charles to the Vatican in early April.

According to the palace, King Charles and Queen Camilla have postponed the visit after the medical advice of the Pope’s doctors.

Palace’s statement says: “The Medical Council has now suggested that Pope Francis would benefit from a prolonged period of rest and recovery. His majesty sends the Pope their best wishes for his convalescence and hope to visit him in the Holy See, once he has recovered.”

The monarch, who is the head of the Church of England, had been scheduled to meet his Catholic counterpart on April 8.

But by “mutual agreement” with the Holy See, the visit, which would have been Charles first for the Vatican, since it has now postponed.

Previously, the Palace had said: “On Tuesday, April 8, its Majesties will visit the Holy See to join Pope Francis to celebrate the 2025 jubilee. Traditionally singing once every 25 years, the jubilee is a special year for the Catholic Church; a year of reconciliation, prayer and walk together.”

After the update, the real expert Cameron Walker tweeted: “It is understood that his state visit of Majesty to Italy continues, but the program can be affected.”
