Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed on Thursday the hope that the personnel agreement (SLA) reached the International Monetary Fund (IMF) could be the last program in the country.
“Through the IMF program, the country has achieved stability, but it should be taken into account that this is a loan that we must eventually free ourselves,” he said when heading to the launch ceremony of the PM Digital Youth Hub.
According to the SLA, Pakistan and the background agreed to introduce a new carbon tax, reduce electric tariffs, increase water prices and open the automobile sector to global trade.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to equip the young people of the country with advanced technological skills, emphasizing the importance of their role in promoting the development and prosperity of the nation.
He assured that all the necessary resources will be assigned to provide the best training opportunities, which allows young people to become productive taxpayers to society.
The prime minister emphasized that Pakistan’s youth represents both a challenge and a great opportunity. “If we provide them with training technology and modern artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, they can contribute significantly to the development and prosperity of Pakistan.”
He said that if they were given the right opportunities, young people could play a vital role in making the country one of the world’s main economies.
Expressing its commitment to provide high quality training for young people, he said that the Government would assign all possible resources for its development by reducing other expenses.
“Young people are Pakistan’s greatest asset, and we can really serve this nation by equipping them with avant -garde technologies.”
Islamic Ideology Council
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the Islamic Ideology Council (CII) serves as a bulwark against extremist ideologies that incite violence, interrupt national peace and undermines the Islamic values of social cohesion and harmony.
The Prime Minister, who addresses a meeting of academics, officials and religious leaders in a ceremony to mark the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of the Council, emphasized the critical role of the institution in the preservation of Pakistan’s ideological foundations while guaranteeing progress in the modern world. He reiterated the need for a focus rooted in ijtihad (Islamic reasoning) to address contemporary challenges.
“Technological advances have remodeled our world. Islam gives us the flexibility of adapting through Ijtihad, and the ICI is at the forefront of ensuring that our nation progresses without deviating from Islamic principles.”
He asked religious scholars to play a proactive role in the guide of young people of extremist ideologies and false propaganda. “The government meets religious leadership in this noble cause. Extremism, hatred and division contradict the very essence of Islam, which teaches harmony and brotherhood.”
Huawei
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Thursday that the Huawei Information and Communication Technology Training Program for young Pakistani would help to boost IT exports of the country and create employment opportunities.
The prime minister, at a meeting with a delegation of five members led by the executive director of Huawei, Ethen Sun, said that the training of the country’s young people in the IT sector was among the government’s priorities.
He said the government wanted a solid association and long term with Huawei.
During the informative session on Huawei ICT training for young Pakistani, it was told that of the 300,000 young people, 240,000 will receive basic training, while the remaining 60,000 will receive high -tech training.
He was told that training for the 300,000 young people will be completed by the end of the year. In addition, the validation of third -party training programs will be carried out.
