Meghan Markle has opened about the challenges she faced to give life to her brand.
A few days after she officially launched her lifestyle brand, As usual, The Duchess of Sussex launched the first episode of her new podcast, Confessions of a female founder.
Meghan invited her friend and Bumble Founder Whitney Wolfe Herd to talk about ups and downs of starting a business in the first episode.
By introducing Whitney, Meghan said that she is “the type of friend who always seems to know the right thing to say when I need a perspective.”
The Duchess of Sussex admitted to having lost her dream for small details, especially the packaging. “Boxes. It’s all I could think. I sat there doing unboxing in my head: Is there silk paper? What about packaging peanuts, but are biodegradable? Where does the label go and what size will the box be?” Meghan said.
Meghan said the launch has been a great learning experience. He also revealed that some customers could accidentally buy honey bottles with online exhausted tickets.
However, Meghan responded by promising those buyers a free replacement by mail.
During the conversation, Whitney revealed that “the only thing you can never recover is time.” She added: “The amount of time, Meg, who wasted in being stressed, being miserable, overwhelming, being paranoid about what the shoe was going to fall. I actually believe that it would have been more successful if it had not been so.”
“But can you turn it off? I say this because last night, it was, do you know when your brain goes in a loop? Those loops of the 3 am, and you can’t stop thinking too much about the thing,” Meghan Markle replied, what Whitney suggested the “rule of five.”
“Will this import in five minutes? Five hours? Five days? Yes or no? If you are not going to matter in five years, take it out the window,” said Whitney Wolfe Herd.
Meghan Markle, which was officially launched As usual on April 4, 2025, announced Confessions of a female founder On March 13, which will have “sincere conversations with incredible women who have turned dreams into realities and climbed small ideas into enormously successful businesses.”
