XRP could reach $ 12.50 before President Trump left the position, said Investment Bank Standard Chartered (Stan) in a report on Tuesday that began the coverage of the token related to undulation.
Standard Chartered predicts that XRP will reach $ 5.50 by the end of this year, $ 8 for the end of the year 2026, $ 10.40 by the end of 2027 and $ 12.50 at the end of 2028. At the time of writing, XRP increased more than 7% to $ 1.93.
The Bank said that XRP increased six times after Donald Trump’s electoral victory in November, which reflects the expectations that the Bag and Securities Commission (SEC) would eliminate its appeal against Ripple, and due to the possible approval of the funds (ETF) quoted by the exchange of XRP.
These profits are sustainable, the bank said, partly due to the changes of leadership in the SEC, but also because “XRP is positioned exclusively in the heart of one of the fastest growing cases for faster growth for digital assets: the facilitation of cross -border payments and transverse currencies.”
“XRPL is similar to the main use case of Stablecoins such as Tether: financial transactions enabled for blockchain that have traditionally been carried out through traditional financial institutions (Tradfi),” wrote Geoffrey Kendrick, head of digital asset research at Standard Chartered Bank.
Stablecoin transactions are expected to increase ten times in the next four years, according to the report.
The stable are cryptocurrencies whose value is linked to another asset, such as the US dollar or gold. They play an important role in cryptocurrency markets and are also used to transfer money internationally.
Ripple also plans to push XRPL to the tokenization space, the bank said. XRPL is the decentralized public block chain of XRP, and is used for payments.
These positive factors mean that XRP should keep up with its largest Bitcoin Pares (BTC), in terms of pricing, said the bank.
XRPL suffers from two defects, the small number of developers and their limited value capture, but these are more than compensated by positive tail winds, the report added.
