A special anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi ordered Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, and the leader of the Senior Party Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and 117 other people who appear in the courts for hearings related to the GHQ attack case.

The ruling was made during a hearing at the Special Antiterrorist Court, where Judge Amjad Ali Shah presided over the case, said Express News.

In addition to Imran and Qureshi, the former provincial minister of Punjab, Raja Basharat and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur also appeared among those necessary to attend judicial procedures.

The Court issued a summons to the 119 defendants, ordering them to appear before the Court in relation to the attack against the general headquarters (GHQ).

In addition, two witnesses were also called to provide testimony in the case.

Imran Khan, who is currently imprisoned, has been ordered to appear on the jail court, while Shah Mehmood Qureshi must appear before the court on April 12 from Lahore Jail.

The court also instructed the defense lawyers to prepare for the interrogation of the witnesses during the next hearing.

In line with the directive of the Supreme Court, the Court announced that the GHQ attack case will be resolved in the next four months.

The Court also affirmed that nowhere it would be allowed to delay procedures without justifiable reasons. As part of the accelerated approach, the audiences will be held twice a week, ensuring that the case proceeds quickly.

Until now, 25 witnesses have registered their statements in the case.

The court has also instructed the investigation team to appear with the full case record in the Adial prison during the next session.

In addition, notices have been issued for the appearance of the magistrate and the witnesses of the police force.

The case has been postponed until April 12, when the next hearing will take place. The accelerated process of the court aims to provide clarity and resolution to the current case against the accused.
