- A viral publication that claimed that Apple was bringing pop star emojis to iOS 18.5 has been officially labeled as false
- The parody account in X, Drop Pop, began the rumor when he published a very convincing image of famous emojis that included Taylor Swift, Beyonce and more
- He managed to convince online users that it was a legitimate update, obtaining millions of visits on different social media platforms.
IOS 18.4 It has just fallen, and users are still enjoying the characteristics that are new to the silently large iPhone of Apple, which includes eight new emojis. But users are already looking at iOS 18.5, and after much speculation about the next wave of Apple emojis, I’m sorry to say no, the pop star emojis will not come to their iPhone.
A publication on social networks that show famous emojis models became viral, convincing people online to reach the next iPhone update. It extended as a forest fire on different platforms, and after raising the hopes of pop fans everywhere, it turns out that it was a lie all the time.
The statement: Apple is bringing emojis of the pop star to its next update of iOS 18.5
It all started in the same way as the most deranged online moments, with an image of an account directed by an individual obsessed with pop.
If you are not chronically online like me, it is possible that you have lost the image that it seems that Apple was preparing to introduce emojis of the largest female artists, including Ariana Grande, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and more. First it was shared in X on the account of pop culture that Drop Pop and attracted mass attention on social networks.

Since its publication, celebrity emojis have received a total of 41.7 million visits on X, as well as accumulating 110k I like and 3.6k responses. Although Apple had not made any announcement, the account did a very good job by portraying it as realistic as possible, circling in its entire length and including the Apple logo.
The publication managed to persuade millions that this was a legitimate update of Apple, which caused many humorous responses and reactions of the creators online, and even almost two weeks after it was shared, it is still making rounds. As the unique and humorous that it would be if Apple ever did such a thing, the publication is completely false, here is why.

The reality: it was a rumor caused by a parody account of pop culture news in X
When it comes to the rumor of emojis of the pop star, the main problem is the source account.
One of the most popular types of accounts on platforms such as X are the news culture news accounts of parody, which take images of existing celebrities and use them to make realistic aspects with the strangest news holders only for comic and satirical purposes.
What is the ‘false’ emoji?
Drop Pop is one of these accounts, that most credulous people did not realize when they saw the post of emoji. And it is there in black and white in the ‘About Drop Pop section, which establishes that the account is a “parody/ medium of satirical communication of pop culture, only and only for entertainment purposes. Nothing in this account represents objective news.”
If these pop star emojis are generated by AI, or if an obsessed fanatic took the time to design them, we do not know, realism is quite impressive, but I even had to look twice before realizing that I was completely invented.
Although it would have been an even more broken moment on the Internet if Apple went ahead and develop these emojis, I cannot say that it has not been fun moving infinitely through all online reactions. But you never know; Apple could take advantage of this idea for a future software update. I never say.
