Peshawar:

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advisor Minister in Information and Public Relations, lawyer Muhammad Ali Saif, lamented on Monday that the federal government has not yet responded to the letter of Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur regarding the transfer of funds for the fused districts.

He pointed out that since their constitutional fusion, the tribal districts were now the formal part of KP; Therefore, transferring their development funds to the province was a constitutional and legal obligation.

BarrĂster Saif expressed concern about the silence of the federal government, qualifying it deeply unfortunate and a shameless violation of the Constitution and the law.

In the context of the growing militancy and terrorist incidents, especially in KP, BarrĂster Saif emphasized that economic stability and the development of fused districts were essential to counteract terrorism, since terrorism was not only a provincial but national problem.

He accused the Federal Government of retaining funds instead of cooperating with the KP government for the development of the merged districts, which described as an injustice for the people of those areas.

He affirmed that, under the leadership of CM Gandapur, the provincial government is totally committed to the development of the fused districts, with a particular approach in education, medical care and infrastructure.

The lawyer Dr. Saif also declared that the federal government must stop treating the province with a mature attitude and immediately release all pending funds.

He added that the KP government was using all the resources available to bring to the tribal districts along with the rest of the province and urged the federal government to support these efforts instead of obstructing them by retaining financial support.
