Netease Games has announced a new costume customization function for Marvel rivals That will require the exchange of a new currency, but players must spend real money to obtain it.
In a new X/Twitter post, the developer revealed ‘Customization of costumes’, a highly requested feature that falls today (April 17) in a new patch that will allow players to change the color combinations of the hero’s costumes.
The announcement had many excited fans, and many expected the color schemes to be tied to each skin they own. However, in a monitoring publication, the study clarified that the new customization function will require the players to spend unstable molecules, a new currency that, for now, can only be purchased with real money.
“Custom color costumes will cost 600 unstable molecules for exchange,” says the publication. “Unstable molecules can be exchanged from the network to a rate of 1: 1. First you must obtain the costumes before you can customize them.”

Netease added that only a few costumes will have this function when the patch is launched, but “it will expand more over time to other costumes.”
Until now, four different color combinations for Magik, Psychocke, Luna Snow and The Winter Soldier have been confirmed, called pink resilience, ghost purple, plasma pulse and winter anger. When players customize costumes, it will also affect the introduction animation of the hero, MVP and emotions.
It was also confirmed that from season 3, Marvel rivals You will get more options to obtain unstable molecules, suggesting that players may not have to spend real money on the network in exchange for the new currency.
