Pak to respond with ‘full strength’ if it is attacked

Pakistan will respond with the “complete spectrum of power” if India attacks or interrupts vital water flows, said the country’s ambassador to Russia, said Muhammad Khalid Jamali.

In statements to RT, Russia state television, on Saturday, the ambassador said that Pakistani intelligence has evidence that India plans military aggression against Pakistan.

“There are other leaked documents for which it has been decided to attack certain areas of Pakistan,” said Jamali. “That makes us feel that this will happen and that it is imminent.”

The ambassador warned that Pakistan is prepared to respond to any aggression: “In Pakistan we use the full power spectrum, both conventional and nuclear.”

He also reiterated the position of Islamabad with respect to the Treaty of the Water of the Indo (IWT), a key agreement between India and Pakistan, which New Delhi suspended following the attack.

“Any attempt to usurp the lower riverside water, or stop it, or divert it would be an act of war against Pakistan and would be answered with full force of power that includes a complete power spectrum,” said shipment.

Jamali, however, urged decallation, pointing out the potential danger since both countries have nuclear weapons. “As both countries are nuclear powers, there is the greatest need to decline tensions.”

India did not waste the time to accuse Pakistan of a militant attack that occurred on the afternoon of April 22 in Baisaran Valley, a popular tourist destination about 6 km from the city of Pahalgam. According to the reports, the Resistance Front, a little known militant group, the responsibility was affirmed.

New Delhi previously reduced to the personnel of the Pakistani high commission, expelling the Pakistani diplomats and closing their land border, and Islamabad responded with reciprocal measures.

The Indian government also suspended visa services for Pakistani citizens. On Saturday, New Delhi announced a set of additional measures aimed at degrading commercial ties already cut with Pakistan.

Pakistan previously requested “neutral and credible research” in the Kashmir attack.

“I think the role of the international community enters here. And in this sense, we hope that powers such as China and Russia can participate in those investigations,” added the ambassador.
