Ankara: Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has expressed a serious concern about the growing tensions between India and Pakistan, warning that the situation could in a complete conflict after mortal missile attacks.
“We are concerned that the tension between Pakistan and India can become an open conflict,” President Erdogan said in a shared statement on social networks.
“I pray for Allah’s mercy with our brothers who lost their lives, and extend my condolences to the fraternal people and the Pakistan government.”
India launched strikes on Pakistan and Ajk at dawn on Wednesday, an assault that Islamabad called a “cheeky act of war.”
Islamabad said that six Pakistani locations, from mosques to hydroelectric projects, were attacked. At least 31 civilians, including children, were martyred and 57 wounds suffered after India launched an unprovided and tortuous attack in six locations: Ahmedpur East, Muridke, Sialkot and Shakkargarh in Punjab and Muzaffrabad and Kotli in Azad Kashmir.
In retaliation, the armed forces of Pakistan demolished five aircraft of the Air Force of India (IAF), seven drones, destroyed a headquarters of the brigade and several control posts along the control line (LOC).
In his statement, Erdogan also regretted that recent Indian strikes lead to the martyrdom of numerous civilians in Pakistan.
The Turkish leader also pointed out that he had made a phone call with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif a day before to discuss the situation.
He praised Islamabad’s proposal for an independent international investigation into the recent terrorist attack in the Jammu and Kashmir of the Indians, described it as a “valuable” step illegally.
“Despite those who pour fuel into fire,” Erdogan added, “Türkiye is doing everything possible to reduce tensions and open channels for dialogue before the situation reaches a point without return.”
Erdogan’s statement arrives hours after Pakistan’s civil and military leadership issued a warning that the country’s reprisals to any Indian misfortune would be so decisive and rotten that everyone would hear their echo, and advertisements would not be needed.
“When Pakistan attacks, it will be unmistakable and undeniable. He will not need the media to explain, the impact will speak for himself,” said the Director of Public Relations General Services (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, when heading to a joint press conference with Vice Minister Vice Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar.
The ISPR DG categorically dismissed India’s accusations that Pakistan launched attacks in 15 locations in Indian territory, labeling statements as “completely false.”
He said that India is trying to present evidence manufactured to justify her recent military actions against Pakistan.
“The statements of India have no basis. The images that have shown from the supposed Pakistani projectiles are ridiculous. A projectile of that nature will at least set fire to the dry grass, but their so -called evidence does not show such damage,” added the DG ISPR.
