Rawalpindi:
The founder of PTI, Imran Khan, warned about a possible new attack of India and emphasized the need for the armed forces to remain vigilant following the growing regional tensions.
The former prime minister broadcast this message during a rare meeting with his sisters, including Aleema Khan, who were allowed to see him after eight weeks.
Speaking to the media after the meeting on Tuesday, Aleema said that Imran was worried that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom he described as someone who hates Pakistan, can act recklessly with anger.
“In the war, 60 percent of the game is mental. I’m afraid that Modi could act again,” he cited his brother.
Aleem added that Imran discussed the broader national feeling, saying that “the people of Pakistan are very happy”, but also emphasized the importance of rapid responses in times of conflict. He said that a “false flag operation” had been carried out in Cashmiro occupied by India.
During the meeting, Imran also pointed to the 26th constitutional amendment, qualifying it from the “burial of the rule of law” and a mechanism to legitimize civil attempts in military courts. “Judicial independence has been retreated,” he said, according to reports, adding that public support was crucial during war time.
Aleem said his brother also questioned the relatively silent response of the party to the trials of the Military Court, asking why PTI had not taken a stronger position.
“His priority is movement,” he said. “As for Junaid Akbar [who resigned as PAC chairman]He said he depended on him to decide what position he wanted to occupy. “
“My priority is movement, not the PAC,” he cited it more.
The former prime minister also questioned the absence of CCTV images of May 9 incidents.
