Pak, the United Kingdom to counteract illegal immigration


Islamabad:

Pakistan and the United Kingdom have agreed to improve their cooperation to address illegal immigration, childhood online and other serious crimes.

The commitment was reaffirmed during a high -level meeting in Islamabad, chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, where officials of both countries reviewed the progress under the program of serious crimes and application of the United Kingdom’s law, Pakistan (exclusive).

The meeting focused on reviewing the progress under the program. Upscale officials, including Neil Fowler, Ken Daines, Habib Gul and Fizza Waheed, participated in the session together with senior officials of the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

Participants reviewed the actions taken to address key issues such as illegal immigration, childhood harassment online, mutual legal assistance, extradition, exchange of criminal records, illegal financing and anti -narcotics measures.

The Interior Minister emphasized the need for stronger coordination and joint actions to stop illegal immigration and drug trafficking. “Illegal immigration is a priority, and coordinated efforts should be made to avoid it,” he said.

The minister also emphasized the importance of dealing firmly with child -online harassment. “Immediate and strict measures should be taken in such cases, and all available resources will be used to protect children online,” Naqvi said.

To harden the border control, NAQVI announced that deported people involved in illegal migration would now be included in the passport control list for five years. The proposal to add sexual criminals to this list is also under consideration.

Recognizing the support of the United Kingdom, Naqvi welcomed the continuous collaboration. “Mutual cooperation is essential to combat illegal immigration. We value British assistance in this regard,” he said. He also highlighted the improvements made in mutual legal assistance rules between the two countries, which has led to more effective results.

The meeting was informed about the progress of the exclusive program, including the operational state of a dedicated delivery unit and the establishment of the First Registry of Pakistan sexual criminals.
