- WIX announces the Wixel independent design platform
- It acts as an alternative to Canva and Adobe Express
- Includes AI tools with traditional design characteristics
The best Wix website builder has announced the launch of Wixel, a visual design suite that is effectively an alternative to the tastes of Canva and Adobe Express.
According to the company, Wixel aims to “democratize visual design”: in other words, designers and non -designers will now have the tools to create professional degree content and assets.
Interestingly, Wixel is an independent product, so even those that do not use the website builder can register in the design tool. And, like Canva and Express, it is free of use with an optional update for premium functions.
What is Wixel and what can users expect?
When it comes to design suites, it is a fairly busy market at this time, an area remarkably dominated by Canva.
It may not be the first in the market, but it is the one that captured the imagination of marketing equipment and companies, allowing even non -designers to turn images and professional grade videos. So popular is that even Adobe increased the bet and brought very necessary improvements to its express platform.
Given the popularity of these suites, I am not completely surprised to see Wix enter the action. But what can users expect from wixel?
Wix has offered an idea of this. Armed with a single product of product loaded on the platform, users can now delete or add funds, cut, convert and edit images, include text and customize the design inside a template.
Along with this, Wixel is able to generate AI images in different styles that can better adapt to user brand brands. And Voila, a user has an adequate publication to publish on social networks or add to their online store. According to Wix, the entire process can be completed in minutes.
Discussing the launch, Avishai Abrahami, CEO and co -founder of Wix, said: “The AI is the basis of Wixel. The design is in our DNA, and the simplification of complex experiences is what we do better. We are now determined to revolutionize the design through the democratization of access to powerful and creative tools for all, regardless of their design experience.”
I played with Wixel and, yes, if you are familiar with Canva or Express, you will have a pretty good idea to expect. An intuitive interface that is easy to navigate, customizable templates that allows users to quickly edit designs and create assets and, of course, AI tools to improve and generate brand content.
The company also confirmed that future tools are in process, including the creation of stories and video. Trends given, this is an absolute essential that cannot be quick enough.
