“The threats against my life and my wife’s life are horrible and cruel. You need help,” Hendriks wrote in his Instagram history.
“Leaving comments that tell me to commit suicide and how I would like to die of cancer is disgusting and vile.”
“Maybe you should step back and reassess the purpose of your life before hiding behind a screen attacking the players and their families.”

Hendriks announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer, no Hodgkin lymphoma, in January 2023. The three-time All-Star returned to the mound less than five months later and launched for the Chicago White Sox.
However, after only five appearances since he returned to the field after his fight with cancer, Hendriks needed Tommy John surgery. The Red Sox signed it with a two -year contract and $ 10 million in 2024 in their recovery, but Hendriks did not launch last season when he rehabilitated.
“Whether (send death threats) of their ‘false accounts’ or dumb enough to do it from their real account. I think I speak for all the players who have to deal with this in their career when I say,” Hendriks wrote.
