Pakistani impress with 6 medals in the Jiu-Jitsu Asian championship 2025


Bano Kousar of Pakistan assured the gold in the category of 48-kilograms female contact Juits in the 2025 Asian Ju-Jitsu championship, held in Amman, Jordan.

Kousar triumphed over Richa Sharma of India in a very disputed final, marking a prominent moment for Pakistan in the tournament.

Kusar’s victory on day 3 of the competition was the highlight for Pakistani athletes who competed in sports competition worldwide.

Pakistan had a successful departure in the championship, ensuring a total of six medals in different categories.

The tournament, which presented more than 800 athletes from 27 countries, saw Pakistan athletes offer impressive performances, winning a gold, two silver medals and three bronze.

On the last day of the competition, Muhammad Yousuf and Umar Yasar were secured silver medals in the U21 duo and show the categories of men.

The duo lost little to Thailand in the final, after defeating Vietnam in the semifinal.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Yousuf and Yasen, which had previously won gold in the U18 category in the 2024 Championship.

M. Ali Rashid and M. Yousuf Ali also contributed to the medal account, winning a bronze in the duo and show men category.

Isra Waseem and Kainat Arif rounded the medal route for Pakistan, each of the winning bronze medals in the duo and shows the categories of women.

The president of the Pakistan Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Khalil Ahmed Khan, expressed his pride in team performance.

“These medals are not just praise, they are proof that Pakistani Jiu-Jitsu athletes meet international standards. We are proud of our athletes, coaches and support staff who worked tirelessly to achieve this success,” he said.
