- Apparently, Garmin plans to launch new guided training for his Garmin Coach service
- According to the leak, swimming and walking are the two disciplines that focus
- It is likely that coach Swim has open -centered classes, while the walking coach will offer ‘exposure to nature’ and stress management
According to leaks, new swimming training and walking will be added to some of the best Garmin watches.
Apparently, the coach of Garmin Swim, as referenced by the filter site, the 5krunner, is ready to complete the new Garmin Triathlon training service, and will focus on developing a good technique (using tools such as buoys to ‘refine the form’ and will focus on kick efficiency), hardening and resistance, intensity, recovery and career preparations.
It is said that some classes focus on open water swimming, which makes them particularly useful for triathletes. Open water swimming is also becoming increasingly popular among non -triathletes, since wild swimming participants use activity as an opportunity to connect with nature. Here is an opportunity for Garmin to serve wild swimmers who seek to improve softly, as well as multidiscipline athletes that are the typical target audience of Garmin.
According to the reports, the coach of Garmin Walking, as the other set of classes refers, will offer a more holistic approach to the physical condition. Although the classes of resistance and physical conditioning are mentioned, presumably offering a variety of interval style sessions and walking lengths, the leaks describe a greater emphasis on recovery and well -being, full attention and stress management.
“Breathing awareness” and “exposure to nature” are listed as aspects of some of these kinds of walking. Like open water swimming, walking in nature (either a local park or a panoramic walk) allows participants to disconnect from the screens and re -connect with the natural world, with proven benefits of stress management.
It is not yet known what watches these classes will admit, or when you can expect to be terrified in the Garmin Connect application.
The benefits of ‘exposure to nature’
A study of Harvard ‘2021 found evidence of associations between exposure to nature and improved cognitive function, brain activity, blood pressure, mental health, physical activity and sleep’ with positive links between the time dedicated to the natural world and mental and physical health.
But we do not need to tell him that: the advice on arterial presentation and the increase in mood by spending time in sunlight and near the trees have expanded for decades. Empowering people to take advantage of green spaces near them with guided training at observation is a novel way for Garmin to improve the health and mood of their users.
These classes will find their niches, but they will not be for everyone. Open waters are not accessible to all, but triathletes and acute wild swimmers will certainly benefit from Garmin Coach’s dedicated classes. Walking training are much more accessible, but they can be too quiet for enthusiastic runners and cyclists, which will probably prefer to access nature using their most intense chosen disciplines.
