Sony has revealed its first wireless fight, Project Defiant, and will be launched in 2026.
Announced during the play state of PlayStation, Project Defiant is designed for a variety of fighting games and can be used wirelessly or connected to PlayStation 5 and PC.
“This new elegant controller will give the players more flexibility to play their favorite fighting games, either wirelessly with the innovative PlayStation link technology that provides ultra -low latency, or through a cable connection on PS5 or PC,” said Edwin Foo, vice president, product development, SIE, in a PlayStation blog post.
Project Defiant presents a high quality digital stick designed by Sony, interchangeable restricted doors of Toño-Tools (square, circle and octagon) for the stick, buttons with mechanical switches and a tactile pad like the one in the Dualsense wireless controller.

The controller also has a resistant and ergonomic ergonomic design for long game sessions, presents a storage compartment for restrictive doors for convenience and a USB USB adapter.
Like the Dualsense wireless controller, Project Defiant also admits the ability to wirelessly awaken the user’s PS5 by pressing and holding the PS button on the upper side of the device.
As mentioned above, the entrance time has been refined thanks to Sony PSK wireless technology, but there is also an option for players to connect to play using a cable USB-C connection.
Sony has also confirmed that the fight will be packaged with a Honda transport box, which includes a lever gap to keep the digital stick safe, allowing players to take the hardware on the fly.
Since Project Defiant is just a code name, we are likely to learn the name of the fight closer to the launch.
