- EUFY has launched its first lawbots: The Eufy E15 and (only US) E18
- They are complete autonomous visual bots, which use cameras and algorithms of ia to navigate
- They do not need to use RTK boundary cables
Robotic grass cutters have traveled a long way in recent years. Limit cables are gradually becoming the past, with most modern grass using RTK receptors to navigate in an orderly and precise way using satellite signals. But the new Euphy models take another step and operate without any of those.
The new Eufy E15 and E18 are Robot V-FSD (Visual Full-Driving), and find their way using a combination of binocular chambers and AI algorithms: it is a system similar to what I would find in an autonomous car.
In addition to not having to deal with the additional annoyance of establishing a separate RTK receiver, this could be an ideal solution for those who have many obstacles in their garden: satellite navigation is based on a direct line of vision for multiple satellites in the sky.
These are the first Lawbots of Eufy: the brand is better known for its robot vacuum clezers, smart locks and security cameras. Since an Euphy model is currently at the top of the best classification of PakGazette robot vacuum cleaner, I am intrigued to see if you can carry some of that inner magic outside.
Eufy promises a configuration process without effort: simply connect the bot to your Wi-Fi, put it on your grass and automatically assign the area. V-FSD 1.0 technology is designed to accurately identify the edges and grass roads, as well as to detect any obstacle to avoid. There is the option to add non-go areas through application and map multiple grass areas.
The system may sound a bit too good to be true, but according to our early tests, things seem very promising. Until now, our reviewer has been impressed by the navigation of its E15, informing an automatic mapping to a large extent and avoidable objects for anything of the size of a tennis or larger ball. We will obtain a complete live review as soon as we have had the opportunity to test it correctly.
The EUFY E15 is available in the United States and the United Kingdom, and is designed for yards up to 0.2 Acres / 800 m², while the E18 is currently only in the United States and can address larger spaces of up to 0.3 Acres / 1,200 m².
Like a satellite lawbot, both V-FSD models can cut into uniform lines. You can adjust the desired height between 1-3 inches / 2.5-7.5 cm, and there is also a feature of ‘ride on the edge’ where the bot will extend the perimeter of the roads so that it does not need to bother to cut the edges manually.
The bots are equipped with a GPS+4G anti -theft system, backed by the remote visual camera display option.
In the US, E15 and E18 are available to buy now directly from EUFY US, at a list price of $ 1,799.99 and $ 1,999.99 respectively. In the United Kingdom, the E15 is available directly from Eufy UK for £ 1,499.
