- Max is getting his own redesign from the assisted home page
- The Update of the Streamer destination page will begin to be implemented in the USA. This week
- Its review occurs in the middle of the latest Netflix design that is criticized by users
Listen to Max users, because it is the last transmission service to receive an important review of your home page.
Only weeks after Netflix presented its own redesign of the user interface (UI), one that Netflix subscribers full of anger have described as “terrible”, one of its greatest rivals is also to obtain an update of the destination page. But, do not worry, the fans of the maximum, will not be as frustrating to use as is the last redesign of Netflix.
In a press release by Warner Bros. Discovery, Max’s parent company confirmed that an “improved navigation experience” would begin to be implemented in the United States this week (from June 16 to 22). It is not clear when people in other countries where Max is available, such as Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, will receive the update of the home page.
However, what is clear is that Max has taken a page from the Netflix plays and actually redesigned its destination page to reflect the old design of the best transmission service. This is how Max’s current home page is seen:
And this is how Max’s redesigned destination page will be seen once distributed to its world user base:
As you can see before, version 2.0 of Max’s user interface looks much cleaner than its ancestor. On the one hand, the icon bar has moved to the left side of the page. Meanwhile, their film and television programs are established in the form of rectangular tiles, instead of the vertical aesthetics that the previous home page had.
If this format seems familiar, it is because it is an almost identical design to the Netflix application page before its recent review. I am sure that those of us who detest the new Netflix user interface will be a little jealous with the design of Max 2.0, then.
There are also more in this update. When Max users loom a mosaic, a corresponding preview video will be played automatically after a couple of seconds. According to Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), “it is based on the success of launching previous functions of Max, which delivered previous video advances with audio in the Hero Carousel of the home page earlier this year.”
WBD is very aware that such a feature can be quite intrusive for users who are moving through their library of the best Max films and the best Max programs. To combat this, the entertainment giant will allow customers to activate or deactivate this function in the configuration and reproduction menu. Therefore, if you do not want the automated video to be repeated while looming on a specific movie or program, you can turn it off and never have to think about it again.
Perhaps, as expected, Max will soon support artificial intelligence (AI) as part of his user experience as well.
According to WBD, an internal assisted tool will also be launched on the platform in the coming weeks. It will be used to “identify and suggest ‘delivery moments’, also known as recognizable scenes of specific movies and programs. This will be used as part of the previous cyclic video views of each production, with the highlight ai tool, to the maximum team of the maximum equipment, which after the most attracted spectators to click on a series of movies or televisions. These recommended will be used more often in the home Recurring looking for something more newborns.
What do you think of the next redesign on Max’s home page? Will he convince him to cancel his Netflix account and register at the WBD Super Streamer, which will be called HBO Max at some point in the coming months? Answer me in the comments.
