- Tuxedo Infinitybook Pro 14 Gen10 establishes a new bar for Linux Power
- Cheaper Windows laptops of Windows can offer Dual Linux starting without the tuxedo price
- Ryzen AI 300 chips bring a serious speed, but also increase the cost
Do you want the fastest Linux machine to be, or something more affordable that still runs the open source software without problems?
The new infinitybook pro 14 Gen10 of Tuxedo could well be one of the fastest linux portable computers available today, but it has a price that is frankly difficult to justify unless raw energy is its number one priority.
The laptop presents the new Ryzen AI 300 series processors. Buyers can choose between the Ryzen AI 7 350 with 8 nuclei and 16 threads, the Ryzen AI 9 365 with 10 nuclei and 20 threads, or the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with 12 nuclei and 24 threads.
Portability and Polish
The AI 9 365 offers a multinuk yield of 10 percent better compared to AI 7 350. The AI 9 HX 370 goes beyond, with up to 20 percent more yield and about 40 percent faster than infinitybook pro gen9 last year.
The new model comes with a 3K screen that reaches 500 shine nits. The aluminum body maintains the weight in only 1.45 kg.
It is full of options, such as RAM and SSD of double update SSD, and a rare complete port selection that includes USB4, HDMI 2.1 and even Ethernet.
The battery life is also decent, with a unit of 80h that promises about 9 hours of use on the web.
On paper, it is all that Linux users want: performance, portability and Polish.
But with more than € 1,000 ($ 1,152) for the entry level version (Ryzen AI 350, 2x 8 GB 5600MHz DDR5 RAM, a SSD Samsung 980 of 500 GB) for users outside Europe, and more than € 1,200 for users in Europe, the price pushes this machine of reach for many typical users.
While some high -end Linux laptops have similar price labels, users can often find a better value buying a Windows machine comparable to a lower cost.
There is nothing that prevents you from cleaning the unit and installing Linux yourself, or setting a double boots system to maintain both operating systems available.
Where Tuxedo makes Excel is its deep integration of Linux. The Tuxedo operating system is pre -installed, and its hardware are sent with everything tested and configured.
Infinitybook Pro 14 Gen10 is certainly elegant, powerful and carefully built for Linux, but unless you really need performance or flexibility, there are cheaper options that still do work well.
