A fire broke out at a footwear warehouse in Karachi, the second such incident in the city in 24 hours.
The fire, which broke out in a warehouse in Rizvia area, was contained by firefighters after an hour-long effort, Express News reported.
Authorities confirmed that no fatalities or injuries were reported.
According to local reports, the fire broke out in the warehouse, which stored a large quantity of plastic products, including shoes.
The incident prompted a rapid response from local authorities, Rangers and firefighters, who were able to bring the fire under control within an hour.
A fire department spokesman said cooling efforts continued for another hour after the fire was extinguished.
Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by negligence on the part of warehouse workers, although the exact cause is unknown. Police and firefighters have not yet assessed the full extent of the property damage.
The fire follows a similar incident in Karachi just a day earlier, when more than 30 huts were destroyed by a fire near the Superhighway.
The cause of that fire, which caused the destruction of household goods, is also being investigated.
This recent wave of fires in Karachi has raised concerns about safety protocols and the frequency of such incidents in the city.
