Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist, Arshad Nadeem, said the fourth position in the last Javelin ranking for the pitchers, according to the ranking published by the World Athletics Federation on Saturday.
According to the update, Arshad has 1,370 points, placing it among the world’s elite despite the limited participation in classification events this season.
Arshad, who jumped to international fame after his gold winning performance at the Paris Olympic Games, has only competed in an event this year: the Asian Athletics Championship, where he claimed gold.
Its absence of several classification tournaments has affected its position in the classification, avoiding an additional increase. However, the next months can offer an improvement opportunity.
Before the World Athletics Championship in September, Arshad is likely to participate in two or three international competitions, which could significantly increase its classification points if it works well.
Meanwhile, the Indian star Neeraj Chopra has claimed first place in the classification of male javelins, surpassing Anderson Peters in Granada.
Chopra currently leads with 1,445 points, followed by Peters in 1,431, and Julian Weber of Germany with 1,407.
Other notable names in the first six include Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic, in fifth place with 1,346 points, and Julius Yego de Kenia in sixth place with 1,314 points.

On the women’s side, Haruka Kitaguchi of Japan has the number one ranking with 1,405 points, followed by Adriana Vilagos de Serbia with 1,351.
Jo-Ane du Plessis of South Africa with 1,318, while Elina Tzengko of Greece occupied the fourth place with 1,309 points.
For the non -versed, Nadeem captured global attention last year when he destroyed the Olympic wild boar record with a remarkable launch of 92.97 meters in the Paris Olympic Games and won the coveted gold medal.
Stretching its domain, Arshad produced a similar result in the Asian Athletics Championship last month ensuring the gold medal with a shot of 86.40 meters.
He also became the first Pakistani in more than 50 years to win a gold medal in the Asian Athletics Championship, marking Pakistan’s first gold since 1973 when the country claimed the greatest honors in the javelin shot and 800 meters, won by Allah Dada and Muhammad Youis, respectively, during the event in the Philippines.
