Islamabad:
The Supreme Court office has refused to allow the request of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI)/Sunni Ittehad Council (sic) requesting the issuance of ‘Order of the Court’ signed by 12 judges that are charged on the website of the Apex court.
Two requests were transferred by the Council of PTI, Hamid Khan and Salman Akram Raja. The court official urged the registered defender (AOR) to request a certified copy instead of transferring a request. The official added that once the order is available for the position, it will be shared.
Raja, who is the general secretary of the PTI, also wrote a letter to the Supreme Court on the subject. The letter stated that on June 27, Judge Salahuddin Panwar withdrew from the bank that heard the case of review of the reserved seats, while Judge Jamal Khan Commandkhail approved a separate order.
In addition, the letter stated that Judge Muhammad Ali Mazhar approved a separate order and Judge Hassan Azhar Rizvi. Seven judges approved a different order, accepting the review requests in the reserved seats.
At the beginning of the procedure, Judge Ayesha Malik and Judge Aqeel Abbasi dismissed the review requests. “It is respectfully requested that certified copies of each of the trials/orders can kindly provide as soon as possible,” he said.
“It is also requested that the order of the court signed by twelve honorable members of the Bank, after the challenge of Judge Salahuddin Panwar, can also be provided,” the letter continued.
The Pakistan Supreme Court website has published a brief order with respect to subtitled and connected requests, signed by only 10 judges of the Constitutional Bank. However, the order of the court signed by 12 Bank judges, who heard subtitled and connected issues.
“A request for the certified copy of said order signed by twelve honorable judges is made through instant request,” says the letter. However, the registrar’s office has also refused to receive the letter.
Last week, the Constitutional Bank of the Supreme Court left aside the judgment of the Apex court on July 12, 2024 that had resurrected the PTI as a parliamentary part and granted him the seats reserved in the legislatures.
The Bank, by most of the 7, allowed all the requests for civil review against the ruling of July 12, racing the way for the ruling coalition to obtain two thirds of the majority in Parliament, which will have significant implications for national policy.
Meanwhile, heading to a press conference in Peshawar, PTI spokesman, Sheikh Waqas Akram, abruptly criticized the decision of the Constitutional Bank on the request for review and warned that the party would not remain silent, but would increase its voice against the decision in each forum.
“The decision on the case of review of the reserved seats has shown that there was no constitution. It is a joke with democracy. This decision was written in advance, and everyone knew what decision would be announced,” he said.
“First, general seats were removed [in the February 8, 2024 general elections]. Now, all reserved seats have also been removed, “he said.” People will laugh at the decision of the reserved seats. We will not leave this matter; We lift our voice against her in each forum. “
Akram said that the meetings of lawyers and family members with the founder of PTI Imran Khan had been prohibited despite judicial orders. “They fear that people leave, they received the message for the founder of the party,” he said, demanding the resumption of Imran’s meetings.
Speaking about PTI’s protest at the Punjab assembly during the budget session, Akram said the protest was due to a “murderous budget.” He criticized the decision of the speaker of the Punjab Assembly to suspend 26 members for 15 sessions and send references against them.
“How can the elected representatives be suspended for protesting? There will be a protest worldwide,” he warned. “The speaker is sending the reference to the Electoral Commission [of Pakistan (ECP)] Because the opposition raised his voice for the rights of the people, “he added.
“Now [the chairmanship of] Four permanent committees are being taken from the PTI. They cannot silence their voice by removing the committees. We condemn this speaker’s decision. He is doing this to please the Punjab main minister. “
Akram revealed that six PTI workers, who were released from prison recently, had died of jaundice. “Our workers who were in jail for six months are dying now. This cannot be a coincidence. We demand an impartial investigation and those responsible must be severely punished.”
In response to a question about joining any political alliance, PTI spokesman declared that after last year’s general elections, conversations were held with other political parties, but those parties did not meet courage to stand up.
“Maulana Fazlur Rehman [the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief] He had never joined the protest of the opposition. We honored Mauula Fazlur Rehman but he didn’t come with us. Now, nobody needs Mauna Fazlur Rehman, “he said.
