- A new rumor suggests that Apple could move the logo on iPhone 17 Pro
- The logo could move down to make space for the new camera bar and align with the magsafe’s ring
- While a minor change, this could give an idea of Apple’s priorities
Apple could be making a change in an iconic iPhone design element with the launch of the rumored iPhone 17 Pro.
According to the new rumors of the TIPTER something reliable Majin BU (through Gsmarena), Apple could move its logo to a lower position in the rear panel of the iPhone 17 Pro.
The possible change has been corroborated in an X (previously Twitter) publication of the Apple Sonny Dickson Tipster, who postulated that the movement could align the logo with the magsafe magnet ring of the phone.
It may be thinking that a logo that moves a few centimeters is not a great story alone, and to be fair, you would be right. This is only a big problem.
However, I believe that this last design rumor has the potential to say a lot about where Apple’s priorities are when it comes to the next iPhone generation.
Aesthetic alterations
This advance of the logo is the last in a fairly long list of redesign rumors on the iPhone 17 line, specifically the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
In fact, it seems to me that the strongest and most repeated rumors surrounding the next professional level iPhones have worried the design and aesthetics of supposed phones.
As reported above, it is rumored that the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max obtain a chamber bar similar to Google Pixel, a wild deviation from the design philosophy directed by functions of previous generations. Several separate rumors have taken a look at the CAD models and fictional units that seem to confirm the design changed.
Although we have heard of a possible teleobjective chamber of greater resolution, as well as murmurs of a unified volume and an action button and a facial identification under displacement, it seems that we could be in a lighter year when it comes to new iphone hardware features.
Considered change or cover up?
All this brings a new context to the supposed new placement of the logo: what was previously a pretty harmless design update begins to seem intrustant in order to find something to change.
And although all this is based on rumors at this time, if Apple launched the iPhone 17 Pro with only iterative or less shocking hardware improvements, then these design shakes would begin to seem an effort to attract attention elsewhere.
It was not a long time since Apple faced a considerable reaction to launch the iPhone 14 in a state very similar to the iPhone 13: Cupertino would be prudent to avoid a similar situation this year.
With all that said, it is also possible that Apple is simply looking to update the visual identity of its next generation phones, so that it coincides with the new aspect of the liquid glass design language with iOS 26.
So, although the change of an Apple logo for a few centimeters might not seem the greatest story, it is worth watching these small changes as we approach the release date of the September September series 17. Be sure to make us know what you think of this rumored change in the comments below.
