- The HPE acquisition of $ 14 billion of Juniper Networks has now completed
- The approval of the EU and the United Kingdom came quickly, the approval of the United States not so much
- The network business could represent 50% of income
More than 18 months after HPE initially revealed plans to acquire juniper networks, and several regulatory obstacles later, the merger has been completed.
Since Juniper’s shares stop quoting in the Nyse and HPE network business that was doubled, HPE expects the acquisition of $ 14 billion to allow him to focus on areas of greater growth and greater growth, creating “growth of long -term profitable income.”
The news occurs shortly after the US Department of Justice.
Hpe-juniper fusion is now complete
“In addition to positioning HPE to offer our clients an alternative of modern network architecture and an even more differentiated and complete wallet through the hybrid cloud, AI and networks, this combination accelerates our profitable growth strategy as we deepen our client and expand our total directionable market in attractive adjacent areas,” said the CEO of HPE Antonio Neri.
Juniper Networks CEO, Rami Rahim, described fusion as an “opportunity to interrupt the network industry at the most important and relevant moment.”
HPE pointed out that the merger aligns with their vision so that customers access silicon, hardware, operating system, security, software and services, all in one place.
Looking to the future, HPE expects the combined network business to contribute to more than half of the company’s complete operative income, which were $ 7.6 billion, 6%more, in its most recent quarter.
Despite some conditions imposed by the Department of Justice, HPE quickly obtained the approval of the European Commission, which found “without competition concerns in the European economic area” almost a year ago. Only a couple of weeks later, the United Kingdom competence and market authority also granted the approval of the agreement.
