The bodies of nine passengers were marked in a terrorist attack in the Sardhaka area during the night were sent to their cities of origin in Punjab for burial on Friday, while the provincial government expanded the scope of the agencies of the law (read) to launch decisive actions against the perpetrators.
Those sacrificed in the night terrorist attack belonged to the districts of Lahore, Gujrat, Khanewal, Gujranwala, Lodhran, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh and Attock. They included two Jabbar and Usman brothers from Dunyapur.
Baluchistan government spokesman Shahid Rind said that Fitna al Hindustan, a term used for terrorist organizations backed by India in Baluchistan, had carried out attacks in three different places.
The terrorist attack occurred near the border between the districts of Zhob and Lorealai. The bodies were taken to Zhob, where they were received by the United Khalid attached commissioner and the border military police Asad Khan Chandia.
The victims, who were traveling from Quetta to Lahore, were identified as Muhammad Irfan, Dera Ghazi Khan; Know Hussain, Gujranwala; Muhammad Asif, Chowk Qureshi; Ghulam Saeed, Khanewal; Muhammad Junaid, Lahore; Muhammad Bilal, Atock; Bilawal, Gujrat and Jabbar and Usman, Dunyapur.
The funeral prayers for the Jabbar Toor and Usman Toor brothers were carried out in Boys High School, Dunyapur, in the district of Lodhran. Family members said the victims were traveling to attend their father’s funeral.
Meanwhile, Baluchistan’s Prime Minister Sarfraz Bugti ordered the law enforcement agencies to launch an immediate and decisive action against those involved in the Sardhaka massacre, authorizing them to act beyond the “usual limits of police taxes and jurisdictions, if necessary.”
The principal minister presided over a security meeting in the provincial capital to review the situation of the law and order in the province, and received information from the Baluchistan Police General Inspector about the Sardhaka incident and updates on the ongoing investigation and security operations in the area.
“The search for these terrorists will continue until they are taken before justice. There will be no commitment to enforce the law in Baluchistan,” said the prime minister, adding that the security forces have been authorized to act beyond the usual limits of the taxation and police jurisdictions.
‘Barbarian act’
President Asif Ali Zardari described the murder of passengers as a “barbarian act” and said it was part of the broader conspiracy of Fitna al-Hindustan to destabilize Pakistan. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to purge the country of Fitna al-Hindustan and their facilitators at all costs.
Similarly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the Sardhaka massacre, describing it as “shameless terrorism.” He affirmed that the perpetrators would be treated through the complete state force. “The blood of innocent people will avenge,” he said, blaming India for supporting such acts against unarmed civilians.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi denounced the murders as “Cowardly Barbary” for “Indian terrorists? Reaffirmed the state’s commitment to frustrate all plots against national peace and integrity.
