A new Youtube subscription level could arrive before what you think, since Google could continue with the relaunch of YouTube Premium Lite, an economic version of its YouTube premium level that lived for two years before being eliminated in 2023. The Tier is designed for those who wish to use YouTube for video content without advertising instead of music, creating a new level of subscription that separates the grouping from Premium and YouTube YouTube music.
According to Bloomberg ($/£), YouTube Premium Lite will be announced soon in the United States, Australia, Germany and Thailand, but has been testing abroad for months as reported by Verge. Since news broke out, a YouTube spokesman declared that “as part of our commitment to provide our users with more options and flexibility, we have been testing a new premium YouTube offer with most of the videos without ads in several of our markets” . At this time, the subscription prices are not established in stone, however, a user in the subprocesses published a screenshot (see below) of a prospective price range for the American version of the level in October, around the Moment when YouTube confirmed that I was in the tests.

It is an obvious that YouTube Premium Lite will eliminate the ads of the videos, but of what has been said about its relaunch so far, that seems to be the only benefit that will bring to the table. Unlike the most price youtube premium level, which includes new tricks and additional benefits that include off -line downloads, background reproduction and the total advantage of YouTube music, these features will not be part of the minor ‘lite’ level price
As is, users who subscribe to YouTube Premium have full access to the YouTube Music Music Transmission Service that allows you to transmit music and podcasts and watch musical videos without ads. As described by Bloomberg, YouTube Premium Lite is designed to ‘direct viewers who mainly want to watch programs other than musical videos’, therefore, only musical videos will still include ads. Although the ads will not be completely eradicated at the ‘Lite’ level, it is still enough to attract new customers who currently trust music transmission platforms that are not YouTube music.
A saving grace for non -YouTube music users
For many people like me, we have resorted to the best music transmission services such as Spotify, Apple Music and even Tidal to make the most of our listening experiences. I do not know anyone close to me to use YouTube Premium for the case, and the only thing I can specify is because its grouping with YouTube music seems a bit useless when they use alternative services. That is why I believe that YouTube Premium Lite could provide that long -standing separation between the video and the transmission of music.
Youtube Premium has always been one of those services for which I have never seen the call. That is just because I am a faithful user of Spotify and, therefore, I have no reason to use YouTube music. However, after listening to rumors that YouTube Premium Lite could be on their way, I am prepared to give myself.
