- The new Chromium code has revealed that Notebooklm will be pre -installed in Chromeos
- Notebooklm is a powerful AI tool for educational work and analysis
- It is not confirmed whether it will be implemented in an update or only available in new chromebooks
Google has announced a new set of functions of Gemini AI that arrive in Chromeos, including Notebooklm, which will soon be sent in the hardware by default. Soon it will be available in the application drawer in Chromebooks, as evidenced by a change of code to Chromium Gerrit.
Notebooklm is a tool with AI to summarize and analyze documents, videos and other forms of content. You upload sources, including PDF, websites, YouTube videos, audio and Google suite with answers generated by Google Gemini.
The AI tool is currently available through its dedicated website, but it is not widely marketed or pressed by Google, even with all the new updates and advances made in Gemini in recent months.
Google will add Notebooklm to pre -installed web applications in your operating system. However, it is currently unknown if this will be applied in an update for all Chromeos users or if it will become standard in just new chromebooks that will be launched, as the next Acer this summer.
Notebooklm is not only exclusive to Chromeos, since the Google Gemini function can be used by any Chrome (or Chromium) user. If I was not aware of what is, which means that the best laptops, as well as the best chromebooks can benefit from one of the best AI tools to do the job.
Notebooklm has been available for users since July 2023, but there are many possibilities that this is the first time I hear from it. Developed by Google Labs and promoted by Gemini, it was originally conceived mainly as a research assistant and notes before its versatility expanded with a set of updates in the last 19 months.
It is a powerful tool to understand large amounts of information, since it can simplify complicated documentation for educational use. Recently it was announced that mental maps will reach Notebooklm, which works for both free services and for the payment of the program, with general audio views that apply to more than podcasts. It is quickly becoming one of our favorite learning tools, and is only improving over time.
