A personalized gift for Princess Charlotte from her favorite soccer team

Lionesses powerhouse Lucy Bronze revealed she once gave Prince William a custom-made England shirt for Princess Charlotte with the young royal’s name printed on the back.

Charlotte, already known for her appearances on the field and her growing love for the beautiful game, could very well have her own Lionesses uniform hidden away thanks to Bronze and her teammates.

Speaking about his first meeting with William in 2015, Bronze shared that the future King has long been a strong supporter of the team, regularly visiting the team before major tournaments to wish them luck.

Bronze even hinted that seeing Charlotte one day put on a real England shirt would be “amazing”.

Of course, William’s football fandom is not limited to the women of England.

The Prince of Wales is famous for his devotion to Aston Villa, and traveled around Europe last season, including trips to Monaco and Paris to cheer on the Birmingham team during their Champions League run.

He once took Prince George to watch Villa take on Paris Saint-Germain FC, a move praised by commentators as a clever combination of father-son bonding and modern royal optics.

In 2023, William faced criticism for staying home during the Lionesses’ historic Women’s World Cup final in Australia.

On the eve of the final, William appeared in a video message alongside Charlotte, sending his support and apologizing for not being there in person.

The cheerful “Good luck, lionesses!” by Charlotte. He quickly stole the show.
