Pete Rose can finally be included in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2028.
December 2027 is the first time that the hits leader of all MLB time will be officially considered for a plaque in Cooperstown after the major Baseball Leagues announced last month that those who are on the non -eligible list of the game take off after they die.
The Hall ruled in 1991 that the ineligible list of MLB would follow and would not consider anyone in it. Now that Rose is out, it is eligible for induction through the Committee of Classic Era of the Hall, which does not meet for another 2 and a half years.

If Rose enters, he will not be there to celebrate it. He died in September at the age of 83. For Alex Rodríguez, who has a convincing case of Cooperstown, is bittersweet.
“It makes me happy and sad at the same time because Pete was a friend, and I know that his heart hurt a lot because he was not inside,” said Rodríguez, who worked with Rose in Fox, in a recent interview with Pak Gazette Digital. “I want more than anything that has been done while he was alive.
“You know, I always say that praise should be made when you live, not when you are dead, because some of the best things about people are never heard by the director. But, you know, I hope your family enjoy it, and I know that you are somewhere looking at him. And I hope he is happy and proud. We are, without a doubt.”

It was determined that Rose played with the reds, only to win, while he was both a manager and a player. However, it was more recently reported that Rose also played with baseball before becoming a manager.
He was governed not eligible in 1989 and was never reinstated while he was alive despite the many attempts.
