- New website
- New panel
- New products
A2 Hosting is now hosting.com with a completely new website, promising new functions and an updated accommodation panel.
Hosting.com began its life as A2 Hosting in 2001. The name (old) is a reflection of the place where it all started, Ann Arbor, in Michigan. The Company was founded by Bryan Mthig and became a successful accommodation company organized by 2m+ websites in more than 40 locations.
In the surprise transition, the CEO SEB of Lamos said: “Super excited that the A2 accommodation, which for so long has been this supreme accommodation performance, surprising customer service and much more, that we have been able to take it and turn it into something that leads to the next level.”
The movement is a reflection of the growth that Hosting.com has sustained and is intended to boost the brand that increases global recognition and builds a larger interconnected community that provides more opportunities to connect and learn.
Different name of the same values
The change can be terrifying, but Hosting.com reassures users, “although our name is changing, our dedication to provide a fantastic support and the reliable products you expect to be the same.” Adding: “You will still have access to the same robust accommodation solutions and the same team of experts ready to help you 24 hours, 7 days a week.”
In a blog post, Hosting.com emphasizes that this is not about abandoning the roots, but expanding and growing the business in a global scenario. The central values of reliability, speed and customer satisfaction in the heart of A2 hosting remain in hosting.com.
Together with the different name, Hosting.com says that other changes include greater resources that will be invested in infrastructure and technology to better support customer needs.
There will also be a new accommodation panel. At first glance and a blow to the website much seems to have changed. Product names are new, the features included in the plans are different products and the oldest products, such as dedicated accommodation, are hidden from the home page.
There are still hidden services, you just need to find them through the site: hosting.com through Google because they are not available from the home page. For example, a hosting.com user informed that he was disappointed for not being able to find the Node.js accommodation, but a fast site: Hosting.com “node.js” reveals that this is still a hosting.com service.
This is a significant brand change for Hosting.com and I am anxious to review new products and services and see if the changes can comply with the promise of hosting and infrastructure characteristics of an already known and dear host.
