Aaron Rodgers rumors: Saints clearly not at QB radar

Aaron Rodgers has not yet made a decision on whether to sign with a new team for the 2025 season after two years with the New York Jets or get out of the game completely.

He made clear during the weekend that there is at least one team with which he will not sign: the Saints of New Orleans.

The Saints may need a quarterback since the organization weighs if going with Tyler Shaugh, Spencer Rattler or someone else to start the year when Derek Carr retired after a serious shoulder injury.

Rodgers was in Texas for a live episode of the “Podcast Ynk” and a fan asked him if he would consider playing for the Saints.

“No,” Rodgers replied without hesitation. “That is the answer. I have played there a couple of times, but no, the answer is no. I’m too old. I don’t want to live in Louisiana. I’m sorry.”

All signs have pointed to Rodgers playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the pen has not put on paper.

He was also asked during the program if he would consider playing with the Chicago Bears. In his response, he dropped one of the biggest suggestions so far that he had his eyes in Pittsburgh.

“No, but I think there is a team that could play in Chicago this year on a road trip,” he said. “I don’t know, I’m not sure. I have to check it. I love Chicago. However, much more than they love me. It has been a great relationship. All unidirectional.”
