Aaron Rodgers still has “a lot of juice left in the tank,” says NFL legend Brett Favre

NFL fans will be watching closely this offseason to see what Aaron Rodgers decides to do with the next step in his career: Will he stay in the league for another year or call it quits?

Rodgers had a tumultuous two years with the New York Jets, playing only one full season and throwing for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns. The team went 5-12 that year. If he decides to play again, Rodgers will turn 42 next December.

Brett Favre, Rodgers’ predecessor with the Green Bay Packers, told TMZ Sports in a recent interview that he believes there is still some juice left in the 10-time Pro Bowler.

“I think I’m right in saying he’s got a lot of juice left in the tank,” he said. “”… I just think he can still play. You saw it in this last game. You say, ‘Well, where has that been?’

“That’s the Aaron Rodgers we know. He makes all the throws, guys respond to him, they love playing with him. Where has that been all year?”

Favre admitted he was “wrong” about how he thought Rodgers would have fared with the Jets.

“If there is any indication in him that he wants to play and show that he can still play at a high level, then I would say go for it,” he added.

Rodgers showed flashes of what he could contribute, but a lack of consistency ultimately affected the offense.

On top of that, the Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas midseason.

Both the Jets and Rodgers have a lot of decisions to weigh in the coming days and weeks.
