Abdali missile system successfully tested: ISPR

Pakistan on Saturday successfully carried out a training launch of his abdali to surface weapons system, the military said, as part of an current military exercise aimed at assessing operational preparation and technological capabilities.

Public relations between services (ISPR) confirmed that the missile has a range of 450 kilometers and was launched under the operational preparation exercise in the name in “Indo” code.

The launch was observed by senior officials of the Strategic Forces of the Army, the Division of Strategic Plans and the Strategic Scientific Community of Pakistan.

The test was aimed at validating updated system navigation technology and improved maneuverability.

According to ISPR, the weapons system demonstrated a precision orientation and stable flight performance, fulfilling all the objectives of the mission.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the president of the Joint Chiefs of the Personnel Committee and the Armed Forces of the Pakistan bosses congratulated the personnel involved.

They expressed full confidence in strategic deterrence capabilities of the country and praised the technical experience of engineers and scientists who contributed to the project.

The abdali missile system forms a key component of the conventional and strategic arsenal of Pakistan, designed for a rapid deployment and high precision against terrestrial objectives.
