Bad news for PC gamers is that it looks like Sony will offer fewer versions of its biggest releases on the platform in the future.
According to a new report from Bloomberg, Sony is no longer planning to release major single-player games on PC. The report highlights the recent Yotei Ghost as an example of a game that will not come to PC, in addition to the next title saros. Apparently, a Yotei Ghost The port was planned until a few weeks ago, when it was scrapped as part of this change.
However, multiplayer titles are still expected to come to PC and other platforms. The one developed by Bungie MarathonFor example, it will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC this week. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls It will also come to PC when it releases in August of this year.
Importantly, games developed by third-party teams and published by Sony could still be released for PC. Named examples include Death Stranding 2 and Kena: Scars of Kosmoraboth of which still have PC versions planned.
The report speculates that Sony made this decision to avoid confusing consumers and increase the appeal of its flagship PlayStation 5 console. We’ll have to see if there is a significant increase in console sales when the next big exclusive drops.
