- Nintendo is asking Japanese players for their thoughts about Nintendo Switch 2 game key
- Follow low sales reports for nintendo switch 2 third -party software
- With luck, it points out a change towards more traditional physical releases.
Nintendo is asking the Japanese players for their thoughts about the controversial cards of Nintendo 2 game key.
According to Switchsoku, as he first saw it and reported by VGC, the surveys have been dating Nintendo Switch 2 players in Japan.
The multiple choice form asks if it is aware of the existence of game key or currently has any. Next, it lists a series of the characteristics of the game key cards and asks you to select the ones you already know.
Finally, ask if I would choose the digital download version of a software piece if there was an available game key.
If you do not know, the game key cards are a special type of Nintendo Switch 2. They are physical game cards that do not contain substantial data. When inserted into a Nintendo Switch 2 system, they cause a game download as a purchase of eShop.
You must insert the game key card every time you want to access the title. The game occupies space in the internal storage of its system, denying one of the great benefits of traditional game cards.
The only real benefit of a game key is that you can resell or change among multiple consoles freely, although in my eyes this really is not worth it.
The vast majority of Nintendo Switch 2 third -party releases have been card keys, to disappoint some players.
As third -party software sales have been lower than expected, I suspect that this survey points out that Nintendo is reassessing its approach and, hopefully, will begin to push developers towards traditional physical releases.
