A new Nintendo Switch 2 rumor suggests that the console may not present a 4K output at the launch if the reports of the development kits have something to do.
This comes from the last episode of Insider Gaming’s podcast weekly, where Tom Henderson shared an idea of the next Switch console, saying that a source at the game developer conference (GDC) told him that some development kits do not offer 4K exit.
“I heard this from a developer in GDC and also listened to it separately in an email … but the development kits, or some of the development kits, do not have a 4K output,” said Henderson.
“So that tells me, does it mean that the Nintendo Switch 2 will not have a 4K output when it is launched?”
It is important to keep in mind that, although development kits may not have this function, it does not necessarily mean that the final version of Switch 2 No, since the system will not offer the same specifications as an unfinished product.

Henderson also stressed that this is not confirmed and that fans should take this rumor with a pinch of salt, considering that previous reports stated that the console will support 4K when in coupled mode and a 1080p resolution during the hand.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct Showcase is scheduled to broadcast tomorrow on April 2, so we must obtain all our answers during the transmission. The long-awaited event is expected to offer fans a new look at the hardware, along with a final launch date, pre-pedd and price details.
