- According to the reports, the demand has been weak for the OLED iPad Pro
- This means that there are some expected changes in the OLED Route map of Apple
- This year’s iPad Pro update is configured to be lower
Our 13 -inch iPad Pro review (2024) will tell you that we love the most recent version of the tablet, the first to wear an OLED screen, but it is not cheap, and its price is leading to a weak demand for the Apple board.
This comes from industry analysts in Meritz Securities (through @jukanlosreve), with around 5.7 million units that are apparently sent last year. If necessary, that figure is somehow in the nine million units that Apple originally expected to change.
In addition, the same report says that there will be many changes in the OLED IPAD Pro rumored that will be launched at the end of this year. While it is predicted that you will get an update to an M5 chip, it seems that everything else will be more or less the same.
Since the device is not flying exactly outside the shelves at this time, and will not get a great update this year, it is said that Apple is reviewing its OLED technology plans, with some products that are coming and some are removed.
That will come later

According to the new schedule, the OLED Ipad Mini will appear in 2026, while the IPAD OLED Air will jump from 2028 to 2027, it is if Meritz Securities and its sources have their correct information.
An update to OLED technology in the iPad Pro, which incorporates something called capsule oLed encapsulation, to improve performance and durability, apparently has been delayed from 2027 to 2028.
Although the initial price of $ 999 / £ 999 / AU $ 1,699 could be moving away from the potential buyers of 2024 iPad Pro, it seems that Apple will continue using the most expensive OLED screens for it. It is believed that the iPad Mini and Ipad air are getting cheaper OLED technology.
Recently we saw a new seventh generation iPad Air and an iPad of renewed input of Apple, none of which comes with an OLED screen. If you ask what is the right choice for you, see our guide to the best iPads.
