According to the reports, the demand that accused the Marshal of Byu, Jake Retzlaff of sexual assault was dismissed.

The lawyers of Retzlaff and the woman who accused him of sexual aggression in his apartment in November 2023 presented a joint motion on Monday at the 3rd District of Salt Lake City district to dismiss the case, according to multiple reports.

The joint motion occurs due to “prejudice and merits of the plaintiff’s complain complaint”, which translates into the plaintiff cannot make the lawsuit again.

According to the reports, this occurs after Retzlaff intended to transfer by Byu, since he anticipated a suspension of seven games because he broke the code of honor of the university. Having a year of eligibility as a graduate student, Retzlaff could move forward to make sure he plays a full season before a potential jump to the NFL.

Byu is directed by the Church of Jesus Christ of the Saints of the last days, and participating in the premature consensual sex is a violation of the Code of Honor of the School. It is a strict set of rules that instruct students to “live a chaste and virtuous life,” according to Salt Lake Tribune.

While Retzlaff is not a Mormon, all students enrolled in Byu must follow the Code of Honor.

A woman, whom she was referred to as Jane Doe AG, accused Retzlaff of sexual assault on a lawsuit filed in May. Retzlaff was being sued for alleged battery, assault and intentional inflicence of emotional anguish for an alleged incident in his department in November 2023.

Retzlaff, 22, was not criminally accused.

The woman said she found Retzlaff through social networks before accepting visiting him in her department to play video games, according to ESPN.

The original complaint claimed that Retzlaff attacked the woman’s neck and raped her after she tried to leave her apartment, according to ESPN. However, the new presentations last Friday had denied Retzlaff the accusations, claiming that the two participated in consensual sex.

“Mr. Retzlaff specificly and categorically denies each and every one of the accusations that he bit, violated or strangled [the woman]They are ridiculous and strange accusations, all of which are false and false, “Retzlaff’s lawyers wrote, through ESPN.

Retzlaff’s lawyers also accused the extortion woman, claiming that the field marshal never listened to her for more than a year. But, now that he is “a NFL draft prospect,” the lawsuit came out, said USA Today, citing Friday’s presentations.

Retzlaff was transferred to Byu in 2023, and led the way in 2024 with an 11-2 record for the Cougars.

While demand is dismissed, Retzlaff still faces Byu’s suspension as he said in his denial of accusations that he states that they had consensual sex.

It is unknown where Retzlaff will be transferred, or which teams may be interested in him for this year.
