- According to reports, the next direct Nintendo showcase will be broadcast on September 12.
- The presentation would be transmitted one day before Super Mario Bros.’40 Anniversary, a perfect moment to announce a new game
- The launch date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond It could also be announced
According to reports, a direct Nintendo showcase is scheduled to issue next month.
That is according to multiple anonymous sources that told VGC that the next Nintendo presentation is scheduled for mid -September, specifically on September 12, although the details of what to expect are still secret.
A Nintendo content creator, ‘Switchforce’, also shared a publication on X / Twitter, insinuating that a live will be broadcast on the same date, writing: “Nintendo tried to call on an emergency on the Switch 2 missing games, but accidentally marked 912.”
It would not be unusual for a new direct to be held next month since, apart from 2024, one has been held every year since Nintendo presentations began.
This showcase of mid -September would also arrive just in time to Super Mario Bros.’40 Anniversary, which is September 13.
The fact that it is rumored that a live will be held so close to Mario’s birthday would be the perfect opportunity for Nintendo to announce the next Super Mario Bros. Switch 2 game, or even a new version of a previous entry into the series.
There is also the question of other important switch games that have to receive launch dates, namely Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The game was announced in 2017, but was then restarted as a new project in 2019 in Retro Studios.
The last thing we saw of the game was in June 2024, with a game trailer and the confirmation of a 2025 launch window for Nintendo Switch. We hope that the rumored direct offer a firm launch date and maybe even the announcement of a Switch 2 version.
