- According to the reports, Samsung has stopped its deployment of an UI 7 in the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6
- It is said that this is due to an error that prevents users from unlocking their phone.
- This delay could mean that there is also a delay in other Samsung devices that obtain an UI 7
It has been a long wait for Android 15 on the best Samsung phones (despite the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, which was launched with it). The update reached Google Pixel phones in October, but it has just begun to be implemented with Samsung’s flagships, and now a delay has been delayed even more.
According to the @universeice and @tarunvats33 filters (through the Android Police), the One UI 7 update, which is the Samsung version of Android 15, has stopped for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Globally.
As for the reason, @universeice states that some people who downloaded the update discovered that their phones “could not normally unlock in some cases.” So, that sounds like a rather important problem, which would make sense since Samsung has stopped the update.
Unable to unlock
The reason for the delay in the impulse of the Galaxy S24 is that the users of the official version of an UI7 of the Korean series S24 found that “they could not normally unlock in some cases.” Samsung urgently reviewed firmware withdrawal in other countries.April 14, 2025
It is not clear how generalized this problem is, but if you already have the UI 7 update and you are experiencing it, we imagine that Samsung is working on a solution as quickly as possible.
As for everyone else, you will probably have to wait a little longer than expected to get a UI 7, but at least, once you do, it is expected to work as planned.
Unfortunately, however, this delay probably means that there will also be a delay in implementing an UI 7 to other Samsung devices, so if you are swinging an older or less high profile phone, you may have a time to wait yet.
That is even more disappointing since Android 16 could be a couple of months away, so Samsung is in danger of slipping a lot.
