Acer has announced the Swift Air 16, a 16 -inch Copilot+ PC laptop that weighs less than 1 kg. The company presented the device in IFA 2025 in Berlin as part of its thin and light Swift family.
The Swift Air 16 works with the Ryzen AI 300 of AMD processors combined with integrated Radeon graphics.
The magnesium aluminum alloy chassis helps to place the new device between the lighter laptops available.
Lighter than a Big Mac meal
There are two display options available. Users can choose a 2880 x 1800 AMOLED panel with 120Hz update and 100%DCI-P3 color support, or an IPS screen of 1920 x 1200 with 60Hz update. Both share the same 16:10 aspect ratio.
Acer says that the IPS version, with a thin profile of only 15.9 mm, reaches a little less than 2.2 lb / 990 g, while the AMOLED model is slightly heavier at 1.1 kg.
The lightest model weighs less than a McDonald’s Big Mac meal, which with hamburger, coca -cola and fries reach approximately 2.27 lb / 1030 g in the United States.
The memory is offered up to 32 GB of LPDDR5, with a storage of up to 1 TB PCIE GEN4 SSD.
The laptop also has a 2MP IR camera with a privacy shutter, dual microphones and stereo speakers.
Connectivity includes two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, HDMI 1.4, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
Acer has equipped the Swift Air 16 with a 50 ° battery disappointingly small, which is less than those of some competitive large screen ultrabooks.
The company lists a 13 -hour video playback, although the actual figures will depend on the workload and configuration so that it can end up tied to a longer wall outlet than you want.
Cooling is handled through a double fan system with twin heat pipes, while the camera admits infrared facial recognition through Windows Hello.
The Swift Air 16 will be available in the EMEA markets from November from € 999, with variations per region.
It will be available in a selection of four color finishes: silver, blue, gray and white.
