- Acer has not announced a ring price, but he has said that there will not be an additional subscription rate
Acer has announced the Acer Freesense Ring, a new intelligent health monitoring ring that offers ‘ai improved’ well -being.
This year was presented at the Computex conference in Taipei, and we still don’t know how much the ring will cost, or when it will go on sale, but we do know that it will not come with additional subscription rates.
With two color options, Rose Gold (a matt finish) or black (bright finish), the ring will be available in sizes 7-13. It will weigh between 2-3 g, and Acer says that it is “designed by the ultralight titanium alloy.”
Even the best smart rings have a plastic interior to better accommodate the sensor matrix, and we imagine that it will also be the case here. It has an impermeable rating at 5AATM, which means that it is safe for shower and swimming, but it is probably not suitable for diving.
The Acer Freesense looks a lot like other intelligent rings of Oura and Samsung, specifically in terms of the data it collects. A Press statement from Acer establishes that “the ring tracks vital physiological metrics such as heart rate, the variability of heart rate, blood oxygen levels and sleep quality.
“Data points are analyzed through a complementary mobile application, which generates personalized well -being information and provides suggestions. With characteristics such as the analysis of the sleep stage and continuous monitoring, the Acer Freesense ring helps to promote proactive health management and lifestyle consciousness.”
Back in the health ring and fitness
Acer has launched smart watches and fitness trackers in the past with its Acer Leap range, but none of those devices qualified among the best fitness trackers of the time, and never really got captured. With smart rings now a rapidly growing health device category, this could be a second chance to Acer in health space.
Acer is also the last of several intelligent rings manufacturers to establish the fact that your device does not require additional subscription, as a key point of sale to differentiate it from the tastes of the Oura 4 ring. With so many health services and physical conditioning that they now require a subscription, it is refreshing to see more companies that cover the philosophy once.
Acer is already busy in Computex this year, in addition to the Freesense ring, a couple of headphones are also announced specifically for translation, a new range of electric bicycles and computer equipment.
