Newlyweds Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty have embarked on their honeymoon after a gigantic family drama.
The Olympic swimmer, 30, and his blushing bride, 25, looked in high spirits as they made a grand exit following their lavish Dec. 27 wedding at Bath Abbey, an event that reportedly sparked a nasty row and tore Adam’s family apart.
Most of the groom’s family were reportedly not present.
Other reports claim that Adam’s father Mark was the only person invited to his big day, however he was allegedly told he would have to sit in the back “behind everyone else.”
For Adam’s part, his younger sister Bethany is the only member he believes remained close after the family fallout.
Bethany joined Holly’s sisters Tilly and Megan as they led the bridal party at the couple’s wedding on Saturday.
Now, inside sources have claimed that Bethany’s decision to not only attend the wedding but also accept such a prominent role in the bridal party has left her mother feeling “betrayed.”
“Beth has betrayed her mother to see what she can get from being the only family member who gets along with Adam and Holly,” the source alleges, stating that Bethany has changed since forming a close friendship with Holly.
“This is not the Bethany we all know, she has changed her appearance and personality to fit the Ramsays’ celebrity lifestyle,” the source added to the sun.
Weeks before her bridesmaid duties, Bethany attended the bride-to-be’s bachelorette party, which became a focal point of the family breakup.
