Adam Sandler is a proud father, especially when it comes to watching his daughters shine on screen.
The beloved actor spoke about working alongside Sadie Sandler in her film. Jay Kellyand couldn’t help but praise his talent.
“I just like being around them, whether it’s on set or at home when we click. It’s the best,” Sandler said. MY! News on Dec. 1, reflecting on what it’s been like filming with his kids.
“It’s been fun the last few weeks we’ve been running together. They’re doing some things and Sadie is on Jay Kelly. She plays my daughter. “They are both very good children.”
His daughters, Sadie, 19, and Sunny, 17, grew up on movie sets thanks to Adam and their mother Jackie Sandler, who regularly appears in his projects.
Now, teens are taking on more roles and Adam loves watching them pursue what they enjoy.
“They love to perform,” he shared. “They’re interested in this, like they want to do it with their lives, so we just support them and want them to have a good, happy life.”
While Adam built his career with comedians before becoming a Hollywood favorite, his daughters focus on acting rather than taking the stage.
“They don’t want to get [into] that,” he joked, referring to his roots in stand-up.
“They just want to perform. They’re really fun, nice kids, and whatever they want to do, I want them to be happy.”
He also admitted that Sadie and Sunny follow his lead, but ultimately have their own plans.
“They listen to me and then they have their own path they want to follow,” he said.
For Sandler, watching Sadie play his daughter on screen is just another reminder of how far they’ve come and how excited he is to see where they’re headed next.
